Como fazer um viés de tecido - How to make a fabric bias binding - Tutorial

Como ando a aprender técnicas de costura, vou partilhar convosco como se faz um viés de tecido e depois como se costura na peça que estamos a fazer.

Primeiro começamos com o corte do tecido. Dobramos o tecido de modo a criar um triângulo  e depois cortamos pela diagonal (pelo viés).

 Medi 5 cm / 2.5" inchs e cortei.
 Measure and cut 5 cm / 2.5" inchs.

Depois com o ferro dobrei ao meio e novamente ao meio cada metade.

Abre-se o viés e coloca-se a primeira dobra, junto do tecido onde vamos aplicar o viés e cose-se em cima da dobra.

 Por fim dobra-se o viés para a frente da nossa peça e cose-se por cima para o prender.

Também se pode coser à mão para não se verem os pontos, mas deste modo deveríamos coser à máquina o viés do lado direito da nossa peça e depois coser à mão do lado de dentro da peça.

É uma maneira diferente de levarmos a nossa toalha para a praia e ainda podemos guardar na bolsa as chaves do carro, o MP3, o telemóvel, e o dinheiro para comprarmos uma bola de berlim ou um gelado que sabe tão bem comer na praia!

Primeiro fazemos uma bolsa, e coloquei plástico no meio dos tecidos, para não molharmos o temos lá dentro.

Tiramos as medidas da nossa toalha enrolada para sabermos o comprimento da bolsa, e a largura é o tamanho do zipper.

Então temos que ter uma fita com 140 cm (40cm + 40cm + 30cm + 30cm) de comprimentos e 12 cm de largura.

Vestido de menina - Girl dress - Tutorial

Este vestido é muito fácil de fazer e com este truque, pode-se fazer toda a roupa que quisermos.

Então para começar, precisamos de um vestido para tirarmos o molde (desta forma, podemos tirar o 
molde de todas as roupas, que pretendermos fazer).

Para o decote, cortei duas tiras de tecido, porque não tinha tecido suficiente para o comprimento pretendido e por causa do padrão do tecido. ( 10 cm de largura * 64 cm comprimento)

Uni as tiras de tecido.

Costurei a tira de tecido toda em volta, deixando uma parte em aberto, para virar o trabalho.
Sew the strip of fabric around, leaving an open portion for turning the work.

Deixei 10 cm para o ombro e coloquei os alfinetes no decote e costurei.
Left 10 cm to the shoulder and put the pins on the neckline and sewn.

Franzi um pouco na zona do decote para ajustar. (Usei o ponto mais largo da máquina e puxei a linha de baixo para franzir)

Corrugate a bit to adjust the neckline. (I used the widest point of the machine and pulled the bottom thread)

E está pronto a usar!

Tricô e as medidas - Knitting and measures

Olá, desta vez vou partilhar convosco, como me ensinaram a calcular o número de malhas que devemos colocar na agulha, para termos o tamanho que desejamos.

Hello, I will share with you this time, how taught me to calculate the number of loops that we should put in the needle, in order to have the size we want.


Primeiro fiz uma amostra com 20 malhas e  uma agulha nº6.

First I made a sample with 20 loops and needle 6.

Depois medi, e em cada centímetro estão 2 malhas.

Para sabermos quantas malhas precisamos, basta saber a medida do trabalho que pretendemos executar e calcular 2 malhas por cada centímetro.

Por exemplo, para fazer um colete de criança, vou precisar de 63 cm à volta da cintura, o que equivale a 126 malhas ( 63 * 2 ).


Then measure and for every two loops, equals one centimeter.

To know how many loops we need to do the job, just knowing the extent of work and calculate two loops per centimeter.

For example, to make a vest for a child, I need 63 centimeters around the waist, which is equivalent to 126 loops (63 * 2).

Outra maneira de calcular o nº de malhas, é medindo a nossa amostra no total, ou seja a minha amostra tem 10 centímetros e tem 20 malhas. Para cada 10 centímetros precisamos de 20 malhas.


Another way of calculating the number of loops, is measured our sample in total, which means, that the sample have 10 cm and has 20 loops. For each 10 cm need to 20 loops.

Estão a chegar à família dois novos membros, e lembrei-me das coisinhas que fiz, enquanto esperava pela minha filha.

Quando começei a fazer a manta ainda não sabia se era menino ou menina, por isso fiz com cores que davam para os dois sexos.
